Minor in Judaic Studies
The Minor in Judaic Studies offers a way to combine Judaic studies with another field. The curriculum includes one course class, with the remaining 15 credits chosen from elective courses. These courses may be taken from within the Judaic Studies Program or related programs such as religion, political science and history. Unlike the BA in Judaic Studies, there are no foreign language requirements for the minor.
Undergraduate Student Resources
Related Program
Hebrew courses are a popular choice among Judaic Studies Program students fulfilling elective requirements for the bachelor's degree or minor. Part of the GW Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, the Hebrew program helps students develop intermediate to advanced levels of Hebrew proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition to undergraduate students, the Hebrew curriculum also attracts members of the greater Washington, D.C., community and GW faculty and staff.
"My favorite academic experience was my Jewish Geography class. I learned so much about the diverse cities in the U.S. where Jewish immigrants settled. It really reinforced my love for and interest in learning about Judaism both as a religion and culture, because there is so much that I still do not know."
