Jewish History Colloquium
Since 2017, the Judaic Studies Program has hosted a forum for researchers and interested students to gather and discuss works in progress. Colloquia are scheduled several times a year and include presentations, robust discussion, feedback and a Q&A.

Lectures
The program invites visiting scholars to campus for the annual Frieda Kobernick Fleischman Lecture on topics including American Jewish people’s relationship with Israel and European intervention.
Launched in 2017, the annual Max Ticktin Memorial Lecture is named after Max Ticktin, an acclaimed Hillel rabbi, beloved former GW professor, and fearless social and political activist. Past speakers include former ambassador Daniel C. Kurtzer, Prof. Max Waxman, Prof. Mira Sucharov, novelists Ruby Namdar and Maya Arad, and Prof. Shaul Magid.
